Learning from local practice
At the time of the interviews, WATOWA provided visiting chefs with a kitchen, accommodation and a car for getting around. Hosts explained local expectations about greeting residents, keeping quiet at night and sorting waste, and encouraged chefs to join community work to build relationships through everyday life.
